1. Define the term abstraction. The book says a departure from representational accuracy.  I think of vague. Some may say strange or weird. I think that comes from the unknown is usually strange to us, even disturbing.

2. How can abstraction create a sense of mystery in an image? Like I had said when something is not realistic and doesnt look the way it usually would it can seem unknown, this is mysterious.

3. How does the use of style promote abstraction? When the focus is more on design style or a specific way of creating then sometimes an image departs from realism.

4. What is a visual pun? When you substitute something expected for something that still fits by definition but is not usually there.

5. What is nonrepresentational abstraction? Abstraction that is not a representation of a actual object, but pure design principles.
